Rashaan Evans: DE/LB - Auburn High School
Rashaan Evans, Auburn High School rising senior and PrepsNation athlete, continues to add offers from major programs and garner national attention.
“Things have been going great,” said Evans. “Notre Dame was the last school to offer me. It was great to get an offer from them. It is great to get an offer from any school that is interested in me. I am up to 26 offers now. That gives me a lot to think about when it comes to making choice. I am not sure when I will make a decision. I may do that sometime this fall.”
Evans recently took visits to Georgia and Florida State. Both programs appear to have made a good impression with Evans, as they explained how each school planned on making him successful in their own way.
“On my visit to Georgia, I spent a lot of time with Coach Todd Grantham (Defensive Coordinator),” claimed Evans. “I also got a sit down with Head Coach Mark Richt and Linebackers Coach Kirk Olivadotti. They told me that if I came to UGA, they planned on using me to rush from the edge like they used Jarvis Jones.”
Much like Georgia, Florida State wanted to show Evans how he would fit into their defensive plans.
“I love the Campus at FSU. It was beautiful,” said Evans. “Coach Charles Kelley (Linebackers Coach) is recruiting me. FSU wants me to come in and play the position that #7 (Christian Jones) plays. I really like how they use him to a lot of things.”
Evans has not scheduled any visits for the near future. Auburn High School begins spring practice later this month. Coach Tim Carter and the AHS staff have a very talented group of seniors coming back for the 2013 season. Auburn High School starts spring practice on April 29th.
